The Peace We Seek
is Already Within

Most of us spend our lives searching for peace through achievements, relationships, circumstances, and even meditation and spiritual practices. Yet it remains elusive.

Peace is not something to be achieved in the future or attained through techniques. It is already within us, beneath the constant movement of thoughts, emotions, and desires. The invitation is to rediscover what has always been here.

Welcome to this adventure of self-discovery.

Raman Mittal

About Raman

Raman's journey into mindfulness and meditation began in 2009 and has deeply transformed the way he experiences life. Over the years, he has explored meditation through silence retreats, mindfulness practices, self-inquiry, and teachings from different spiritual traditions.

Despite years of exploration, he continues to see himself as a sincere seeker and student on this path of inner peace and self-discovery.

His journey and practice of meditation (and life) have been deeply influenced by the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, J. Krishnamurti, Ramana Maharshi, Osho, and the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Idanim Foundation?
Idanim Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to making meditation and mindfulness accessible to everyone. Through our free app, retreats, courses, live sessions, and 1-on-1 sessions, we help people build a sustainable inner practice.
What is meditation and how do I start?
Meditation is the practice of training the mind to focus and observe thoughts without judgment. To start, sit quietly for ten minutes a day and follow a guided session in the Idanim app — that's it. The Learn to Meditate course is designed to handhold complete beginners through the basics.
Is Idanim really free?
Yes — completely. The app, the YouTube channel, the WhatsApp community, and even most courses are free forever. Idanim is a non-profit; donations and a small fee on retreats keep things running, but we never charge for the core practice.
What types of meditation does Idanim offer?
45+ techniques across traditions — Vipassana, Yoga Nidra, Anapanasati, Om Chanting, Chakra Balance, Active Meditation, Vedic Meditation, mindfulness practices, sleep meditations, and more.
Does meditation really reduce stress and anxiety?
Yes — and there's a growing body of research to support it. Regular meditators report less stress, better sleep, improved focus, and noticeable relief from anxiety. The benefits compound over weeks of consistent practice.
How is Idanim different from apps like Calm or Headspace?
Idanim is a non-profit, led by a real teacher (Raman Mittal), rooted in Indian and Buddhist contemplative traditions, with content in both Hindi and English. There are no subscriptions, no paywalls, no ads — and we offer 1-on-1 sessions you simply cannot get elsewhere.
Can I learn Vipassana or Yoga Nidra without attending a retreat?
Yes. The Idanim app has full guided series for both Vipassana and Yoga Nidra, suitable for beginners and seasoned practitioners. Retreats deepen the practice, but they aren't a prerequisite.
Who is Raman Mittal?
Raman is the founder of Idanim and a dedicated meditation practitioner with 12+ years of experience. He draws from Mindfulness, Active Meditation, and Vedic Meditation traditions, and the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, Ramana Maharishi, J. Krishnamurti, the Bhagavad Gita, Osho, and Buddhist masters.
